Ballyness Ring Fort

The group held a sponsored walk (beneficiary Parkinson's Society) on Sunday 16th March to the Ring Fort in Ballyness. The walk commenced at the Pot Bar and proceeded to the site (a distance of two miles) where Liam Begley gave an interesting talk. We were blessed with good weather, the craic was equally good and welcome refreshments were provided in the Pot on our return. Thanks to all those who took part and raised money and those who gave donations but were unable to be present. Approximately £1000 was raised. We thank Patrick Mullan for access to the site, Bernie for the use of the facilities at the Pot and the ladies for the excellent refreshments.
