VISIT TO ULSTER AMERICAN FOLK PARK ON 21.08.10

These photos were taken on Saturday 21st August 2010 at Ulster American Folk Park. Around 50 persons from the Gelvin area travelled by bus, sponsored by Heritage Lottery Fund, and a good day was had by all. Liam Begley kept the party amused along the way and also managed to arrange two surprise birthday celebrations. We were both surprised and delighted to have had on board Mrs Myrtle Ennis and her son Ian and Ians's wife Susan home from Brisbane and staying in Ballymacallion with Janet and Wilf.Myrle is the widow of Victor Ennis who came to stay with the Hynds family in Ballymacallion as an evacuee during the early 1940's when he attended Galvin school.
